well i haven't a clue what time it is.... here or back home. erm... clock says its 11:19am for here, but that must mean its something bonkers like 3:19am back home in blighty. i'm also really jetlagged so feel like i shoudl be going to bed even though it's coming up to lunch time. my brainz broken.

ii'm sat in a web cafe and really confused by this keybaord. the layout is weird, i wil be recalming the typo crown that's for sure. i'm surrounded by loads of people i can't understand. lol. havent really done much yet as yesterday... erm... this'll get confusing with what day i'm on related to you all. erm.. lets see, i landed sunday mid afternoonish japan time, feel like i never actually saw a saturday as i think i flew over it. weather is cloudy but omg really hot. i think it's around 27 degrees. i flake anything above 24. lol

so far i haven't really seen much but today i'm gonna wander about in and aroundthe hotel. it's a bit small , but then i don't need too much space.. can't believe how big this city looks... looks like it goes on forever.

sorry this is a very strange message so far but i'm a mix of jetlag, hunger, confused, excited, nervous and missing you all. hope everyhitngs good with you all. i saw that awful thing about elune being some kinda draenei god thing. omfg i go away for one minute and blizzard b0rks up the only true bit of lore i'm passionate about. when i get back blizzard better have corected this frightful error in their ways. or i shall unleash chopstick combat o doom upon them.

well hopefully when i've got my bearings and start settling down here i can write somethign more interesting.

jsut before i go i saw your really gorgeous thread on wowgamer about me being off. was such a touching things to say and do. and it was really nice reading those messages from the others. it was really sad leaving wow that night but like i said i'd stay in contact as much as i can... and look, here i am only abhout a week after.

yes it’s me, the little english girl lost in the far east. well not exactly lost, just having so much fun and without much of the rubbish i had to deal with in england. Now i’ve been here for the past week i’m starting to feel that this was the right thing for me to do. i dont think i’ve been happier with myself than right now. i’m like a kid in a sweet shop. everywhere i’ve gone so far have been amazing.

before i waffle too much about myself, just want to ask how you are. how’s your summer break going, keeping yourselves busy? when are you back at uni? And how are things in WoW right now. i read something about real names going onto the forums but people didnt like it so they’re not going to. hmm makes me wonder what a certain FK real name would have been. Jeff was my bet... missing you so much, especially emma. (nothing personal boys, jsut girly bonding) i miss our late night in WoW girly chats. so much fun. maybe somehow we can work out a way to have some real time chats through some system or another. the time difference here has thrown me but i’m starting to climatise. it’s currently 8am here but i think that means it’s like midnight back there.

So, what have i been up to so far. well i’ve met a good friend. She’s called Saori. she’s been helping me sort out about the teaching english thing and we’ve gone for drinks n started socialising. my japanese isnt great and her engish is flakey but we’re getting on really well. it’s nice iv’e got a friend here already. that was my first worry, getting loney.

i’m struggling with the transport system out here. can’t read Kanji characters but at least i know enough to ask directions in japanese. my language is getting much better now already. when you’re surrounded by the language it’s so much easier to pick it up. the taxi doors threw me. they open and close automatically. well funny, i made a tit of myself when i first tried to get out. no door handles at all. hehehe


anyway, yesterday i spent the day with Saori. we pottered about shinjuku and went to a really nice tea shop. real japanese green tea is so much nicer than what i’ve had before. or maybe i’m just getting into this place more. later in the evening we went out in Roppongi (hehe i love that name) it’s a district in Tokyo that has a good night life. we went for an incredible meal at this tiny bar, (everythings tiny here) i had tonkatsu (fried pork cutlets) and miso soup. we then went to an arcade. omg no one does arcades better than the japanese. it’ was so noisey but so much fun. i was addicted to Taiko no Tatsujin, i’ve played it on the DS but the real arcade game is amazing, you get two japanese drums and you beat out rhythms to jpop and other songs.


I’ve mostly been in the Shijuku area. good place for shopping but i’m going easy on my money for now. there’s a place here where there’s still a few real geisha girls around. they look so pretty.

i haven’t really planned today, i’m just going to potter about today, see where i end up. the thing about this place is there’s so many secrets hidden around each corner. really nice finding little shrines hidden down alleys.


the weather isn’t looking too great over the next few days but Saori was telling me about a place in Bunkyo where there’s a leasure complex where there’s a theme park built in the gaps of the building and there’s a rollercoaster that goes up and over the main buildings. she said it’s “saggoi” incredible.

i’m hoping to visit kyoto some time soon, also osaka. some really great cities i’ve heard. but iv’e not done too much and not gone too far away from where i’m staying yet as it’s taken me some time to get myself climatised. anyway, hope you like the pics so far.

another little update on the amazing adventures of beccamouse in the land of the rising sun.

i haven't got long so wont be able to add any pics on this message but will try to next post.

omg i went to the Tokyo Toy Show on the weekend. i saw so many amazingly cute things and fun things. sadly a lot of them aren't on sale yet but i absolutely fell in love with these dancing mushroom toys. they just dance. that's all that matters. hehe. and i was fascinated by this robot butterfly in a jar. i couldn't work out how it worked but looked and moved so realisically. mostly i wandered about, playing on the toys while munching pocky. hehehehe. a good day all round then.

Still haven't left Tokyo yet, there's so much to do here. i sat in at a school watching how others teach english here. it's kinda funny. you have to teach a really strange form of english. nothing like the crazy banter i'm used to, it's all posh and formal. feels like i should be saying things like what what and don't you know old bean. i say. etc. hehehe imagine early bbc tv programmes. hehe

haven't got to go to that rollercoaster on that building top yet but i may be able to this weekend coming. hehe. i went passed it though and it looks insane seeing a rollercoaster draped like spagetti.

i went to harajuku and omg i see what they mean by fashion capitol of the east. i've never seen so many people dressed so awesomely. theres loads of those loligoths and also loads of those ganguro girls. really rebellious look where they darken their face tan or even orange and brighten their eyes and lips often bleeched hair...looks very very strange from my western eyes, but it's kind of a statement rebelling against the geisha look. very odd but cool too. i have bought some new clothes and i'm in love with them. i got a top thats a lace black bra but with semi transparent cloth wrapped around it connected with red ribbon at the back and a skirt that comes to half way up my thighs at the front but curves around to full length at the back and has lace drapes around the waist. also got some amazing stomping boots, pvc material with zips and buckles and leave square footprints hehehe.

i've got out with my new japanese friend saori a lot and she's taken me to some amazing restaurants. the food here is sooooo fresh and delicious. She has a friend who apparently plays world of warcraft, she's gonna introduce me to him (he's also single...~raises eyebrow~) WoW isn't big here.

I'm also thinking i kinda need to have a laptop so depending on what i can arrainge with my mum back home i may be able to get the money together to buy one here. if so i'll try to make sure i get one able to play wow even if its' cut down graphics n stuff. but i often get the evenings or mornings free so i could find some time to play hopefully. will keep you posted on that at least. hmm i would guess it's have to play mornings to catch you in the evenings back in uk. oh Emm, i got your message to me on facebook. hugglesmudge!!!!! YEYYYYYY for getting through to next year. hehe i knew you would. i wasn't worried. hehe. but woooooo anyway. bet you're happier that a kitty whos been given an extra large bowl of milk and a catnip toy. hehehe. i dont really understand the readID thing but if it's optional i'll be happy enough.

anyway, i need to grab some food on the way back to the hotel and it's late, maybe i will grab some ramen noodle to munch on the walk back. realy loving the city life. everythigns alive all the time. it's great.
